Le Petit Dejeuner
I went to Le Petit Dejeuner with some friends this weekend. Yes, it was this past weekend not 2003, as the timestamp on the photos indicate.
Here are my good friends Anne and Jim:

Anne’s healthy petit dejeuner:

I don’t have a photo of Florence (she took the photos), but here is her waffle:

Here is Jim’s crepe and empty coffee cup. The coffee was pretty good.

My waffle was amazingly light and fluffy and the minty fruit salad was a dream — I loved the apple, which was finely julienned to create an interesting mouth experience, and the variety of fruits was awesome. Savoring the waffles and fruit together with chantilly cream and maple syrup was delectable:
I have a confession to make — this was not my breakfast at all — I already ate at 6:00 am and by 11:30 was quite ready for lunch. My appetite in the morning is something else
Somehow we all still had an appetite for gelato when we left the restaurant and wandered off to Solferino where I purchased the Andean blackberry and guava sorbetti (sorbetti are made without dairy) and indulged in the scrumptious flavours while listening to the amazing Dr. Draw. He is an amazing musician and I would love to take him out to dinner one day.

Do you feel guilty eating all that unhealthy French food? Probably not….after all, you are slim and trim anyway. Nothing petite about that breakfast! I had oatmeal.
