It took Some Effort, but I Have a Passport
My passport arrived today! It was quite an effort getting it. The process started over six months ago and the events relating to getting the passport were surprising to me if not astonishing. I went to get a new picture after I received a call informing me that I was grinning in the photo, which isn’t allowed. When I brought in the non-grinning photo the passport officer told me I needed to show my ears in the photograph. What!…I was totally flipping here… I’ve never heard of this requirement and I wondered what other unwritten rules they might have under the table. No turtlenecks? No makeup? Hair pulled back with a headband? When the officer saw that I was going to go insane, he went to speak to someone and then said it was okay and that I could go.
Now that I have a passport, I’m free to go wherever I want. Where should I go? Who wants to come?

SIX MONTHS TO RECEIVE A PASSPORT!!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!! What would have happened if you needed it sooner?
Take your mother somewhere tropical in the winter. Meanwhile does Paris sound good?….PARIS IN THE SPRING.
I will check in once in a while to see if their are any offers of accompaniment with a lovely lady such as thou.

The six months to get the passport was due to my slowness…too much to do with too little time.
Paris is very high in my list. I went once but I didn’t see much so I must go back. Oui Oui.
My mother doesn’t like to go anywhere it seems. I have tried to convince to go somewhere warm with her friend.
